Welcome to the NEW Mixmasters Pro Audio website.

Mixmasters... began decades ago, in studios in bedrooms, lofts, and lounge rooms, recording music... making records, in the days when you ran board mixes to cassettes, your stereo mixes went to old Revox half track 1/4" recorders, and you edited with a demagnetized razor-blade. When music was music, and you only bought the equipment you could afford, or was available, and you chose whole takes of songs, rather than have a thousand choices of two bars of a solo.

We still own and operate cool world class studios. They have come a long way, but are still predominately people and music orientated, full of an embarrassing array of much loved vintage and new recording equipment and a wonderful collection of instruments of all shapes and sizes.

All of us here still make release records on a daily basis, and travel Australia and the rest of the world making records and playing music.

We even carry our studio to remote locations to "tame" unruly non-studio environments.

We also are passionate to the point of obsession about the gear we exclusively distribute in Australia and surrounding regions. We were doing this in the beginning because no compromise equipment was almost impossible to obtain here, so we started "bringing it in" (our first order of Avalon 737s was fourteen... over ten years ago, before the internet, sold from the studio door...). The manufacturers and designers we deal with are like us, and they are our friends.

Where can you trial and evaluate an esoteric piece of equipment, and send it back if it doesn't do it for you?... We keep pretty much everything we list in stock... price is very important to us, and you, but there is more....
